Shield is the latest addition to the cuff bracelets family. Reminiscent of the Heron bracelet, this double cuff is crafted from a single surface of soft leather, expertly sliced and perforated into a clever pattern, expertly manipulated and transformed into a 3D sculpture. The result is an impressive armour-like elongated rigid cuff that protects the wrist and half the arm. Like often with SO-LE STUDIO creations, Shield draws inspiration from historical and mythological references.

Some will see similarities with the puffed sleeves in fashion during the Elizabethan Era while others will be reminded of protecting shield cuffs adorning female warriors such as goddess Athena or the Amazons. Faithful to SO-LE STUDIO principle of illusion, Shield plays on its rigid, metallic and constricting appearance when it is in fact light, warm and easily worn by sliding your arm in and adjusted, for a comfortable fit.

It is made with upcycled high quality Italian leather by our craftsmen in Tuscany, turning remnants into riches.
